I got off work around 1:45am and walked over to my car which was parked on the 3rd level of the garage.

Usually, I’d be on the ground level but because of the new opening of X Lanes, I’ve been parking in the above levels.

I’m a pretty tough chick so I felt safe walking to my car alone.

As I went from level to level on the stairs (I never take the elevator), three boys (probably 21-23) joined in on the stair climbing from level two.

As I got to my floor, I saw that my car and the car right next to it were the only ones in the level. I walked quickly to my car as I heard the boys say something out loud. Not directly to me but of and about me. I ignored it and quickly got in the driver’s seat.

As I was putting my seatbelt on, I saw a letter on my windshield. I opened my door, reached over, grabbed it and got back into my car to leave. By this time the boys had gotten to the car next to me on my driver’s side and one of them started to bang on my read passenger door. He kept banging on it until I stopped the car and got out of my car.

Now there were other ways of going about this situation.

A) Drive away

B) Call the cops

C) Do Both

What did I choose to do?

Well, I started in a calm matter… I asked what his problem was and he kept on talking back. When I asked him to apologize, he refused and said he didn’t know why he should. This whole time, his friend is trying to apologize for his drunk friend who was banging on my car.

He started to antagonize me and I started to get furious. He kept acting as if he did nothing wrong, so i reached over and tried to punch him. I swung a couple times, must have gotten one hit on his face. By this time my adrenaline was rushing and I was furious.

He kept laughing. I wanted to fucking kill him. Pull him out of the car, make him put his mouth on the curb and break his jaw open, then throw him over the parking garage onto the cement floor. But I didn’t.

I would’ve left but I wanted to scare him. Because me alone, wasn’t doing the job.

I called my boss.

He ran over with the oppa who also got off at the same time as me. Right when the boy saw the two guys run over, he said, “Can I apologize and we can leave?”

Of course that little twerp wanted to apologize now. After he sees two guys come over who can potentially beat his fucking ass.

Meanwhile, his friend who kept apologizing for him was justifying his behavior by saying that he fed him too much alcohol.

Boys should not drink if they cannot handle their alcohol and if they are going to be harassing girls that can beat them up.

His friend then mentions, “I watch Ktown, blah blah blah” and your point being?

I don’t know what the hell is going on in the generation of kids these days, but you do not attack a female. Have some fucking respect and decency, treat people the way you want your loved ones and yourself to be treated.

And I know my actions weren’t right either but they were warranted. If I ever see that little boy around… I hope I have a bottle of water in hand.

And of course, I took a photo of him.

If you recognize this subhuman (my new favorite word) despicable being anywhere, give him the dirtiest look. And in any case if you do know him personally, I’m sorry you have such disgusting unmannered friends in your life.

He who has been an amazing boyfriend and an even more amazing person to Tyler. Seeing Bear each time with Tyler makes me feel secure about our future with him in it.

His care for Tyler warms my heart every time I see them together. His behavior towards us has me looking forward to a growing family. I love that he opens the bottle of apple juice before he gives it to him, they way he brings the food over and opens it and places it in front of Tyler, they go to the restroom to wash their hands together and so much more I can list but won’t.

Thank you Bear for exemplifying great characteristics for Tyler to absorb.

Also a Happy Father’s Day to my one and only dad.

A man with an enormous heart and the strongest will to provide anything and everything his family wanted while I was growing up. The man who provided me with all the riches in the world. I’m sorry I never appreciated it when I was young but I am forever grateful for your love and generosity and blessed with your work ethics.

Thank you dad for setting a great example on how a man should be so I can set my standards to your ways. A family man who provided the world without wanting anything in return except for love.

Happy Father’s Day to Bear’s dad, whom I have the world to thank. For bringing such a great man into my life and raising Bear so perfectly.

I seriously love Century City AMC because of assigned seating. We were a bit late but had the best seats in the house!

After we headed to KTOWN for some early dinner. Park’s BBQ was perfect for my two boys who love meat.

Then we went to check out the new XLanes in little Tokyo DTLA Fe some bowling and arcade.

The new XLanes is so cool! They had this life size connect four game that I would want in my future home. The game brings me back so many memories from my childhood.

It was an amazing day with my two favorite boys.

I ate everything in sight and I’m scared to go on the scale.

It was the day after we met when I stalked his Facebook looking over these photos of Bear and wondering why this handsome man would want to get to know me.

I’ve never seriously dated anyone outside of the Korean ethnicity and I had no idea what was in store.

I think I had self esteem issues and the idea of a non Korean person finding me attractive was puzzling.

When I first met Bear, I was immediately blown away by his looks. It was on the set of filming the last day of KTOWN season one and he was there as a guest of my producer Mike Le.

Had I known I would be planning the rest of my life with him, I wouldn’t have gotten so intoxicated and not remember our initial exchange of words.

I remember waking up to a horrible hangover and finding a friend request from Bear.

My immediate thought was, “oh yay, he thought I was cute!”

That was a Friday morning, June 15, 2012.

We exchanged a Facebook message initiated by me asking a ridiculous question. Basically I threw myself under the bus.

He responded with a text message, “so you don’t remember giving me your number?”

I was mortified.

We met the next day. Drinks at the Glendon in Westwood talking about our jobs, childhood, cars and coincidently Equinox.

This was the first date in a very long time with a non Korean.

Honestly I knew I was attracted but didn’t know him well enough to know if it would even turn into anything substantial.

I was not looking to date and I figured I’d go and keep myself amused with one of the best looking man I’ve ever met. I went into it as “just for fun.”

After that night we hung out again the following Thursday. Then again on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and almost everyday of the week for many months to come.

He was sweet but not a chump. Very kind but not a pushover. Had gentlemen qualities without an ego. Hard working but prioritized the time he would spend on me. Book and street smart without being pompous. He was everything I imagined a man that I would fall in love with would be. And hopefully, for the last time.

He treated me like how I would treat him. Every action was reciprocated and every gesture was genuine.

After the first few weeks I was in awe. I couldn’t believe what my heart was feeling. I couldn’t believe that I was falling for someone who I never imagined myself to be. Speaking of a person’s ethnicity of course. I guess I can say that I was ignorant and narrow minded. Limiting myself to people who weren’t meant to be my soul mate.

We moved slow, not because I wanted to but because he did. I followed his ways because everything I’ve done before when it came to relationships, had failed. So I assumed that maybe going against the grain would be more beneficial.

On July 18th 2012, we made it official. He was now my boyfriend. My first white boyfriend.

It was still unbelievable to me. I always wanted to date outside of my ethnicity but never thought it could work and or a bit afraid of the culture clash. I was comfortable with what I knew. And that was a Korean man boy.

Today marks the year we met.

One year ago today and prior, I was lost.

Bear picked up his hobby again recently and I wanted to get him something to show my support.

Of course I’m all about individualizing everything so searched “personalized golf balls.”

“BMT” and “Winners don’t wait for chances, they take them.”

Two different kinds of balls because I didn’t know which were better.

I know these balls will get lost. That’s what happens.

All I wish is for Bear to enjoy picking up his hobby again, always stay physical and to use it as a stress reliever.
