Happy birthday my love!!!!
I love the Beverly Hills location mostly for their showers. Oh and the proximity to the office of course, but that’s not really equitable.
Out of all the Equinoxes I’ve experienced, the BH location has the largest showers. The time that I go only attracts senior citizens so I’m so good with that. I’m so particular that I started to wake up even earlier than when I first started so I can park right in front. I don’t like parking in the garage because it’s hassle. I go early enough where the street parking laws aren’t enforced. I like to go from door to door essentially.
The staff is wonderful in the mornings, Shayma is great. I now have gone too many times that she knows me by my name which I like. It’s always nice to be greeted with my name.
The locker rooms are spacious, however there aren’t any tall lockers like Newport and Westwood (only two I can think of that has it, oh and maybe a NY location). Westwood has a sitting area, and the locker room is MUCH larger, but the showers are tiny like Newport and Huntington.
I remember when I first joined Equinox in 2009/2010 ish. I remember times in my life by the boyfriends I’ve had or what job I was working. I was riding my GSXR600 to Irvine for work and decided to get a membership in Newport. I first went to Sports Club in Irvine, but it was too expensive for me at the time, so I opted for the $135/month trap with Equinox. I’ve been a member ever since and couple years after joining, I upped my membership to All Access, still no access to Century City and more recently the Sports Club takeovers.
Now I pay… well just up until last month, I paid $208. They’ve increased $5 every year. I just recently got a letter in the mail and they are upping my dues $10. So now I’ll be paying $218 for April and until they decide to raise the price again.
Nonetheless, I fucking love Equinox.
I had been dying to check out Waldorf and finally we had the opportunity. Though the original crew BWD (Babes Who Dine) weren’t available, we made the best of it!
Happy Birthday Laura! We spent the evening drinking and eating and catching up on life. It’s really nice to get together for a celebration because we get so caught up with work and our personal life that it’s hard to find time to meet with different friends.
The hotel was beautiful. I did feel a bit out-of-place (like I usually do) in a new spot, but even more so here because Waldorf is so fancy. I mean, valet is $50.
Would I go back? For sure… I’d love to check out brunch.

2017 Holiday dinner with the girls. LT had to leave early so she’s not in the pic. 🙁
Our office admins did such a great job decorating the office with balloons and such on her last day. She leaves for maternity leave for 3 months… 🙁
We also celebrated her birthday with the BWD crew (Babes Who Dine)…
We got her a gift card for a mani and pedi and Large Hoop Earrings that she’s been wanting.
I always wondered about Matsuhisa and the quality of the food for a very long time. So when Melissa wanted sushi and when Matsuhisa was picked, I had no qualms about it!
Our “Babes Who Dine” social group makes up of six of us. Each birthday, we celebrate over dinner and drinks, sometimes more, sometimes not. We all met through The Agency, some having a longer relationship than others.
Dinner was always great because the company was ace. However, the food was whatever. I was a bit disappointed in the overall experience in the cuisine area however, I did enjoy the authenticity of the establishment and intimacy of the venue.
I did notice a private room, sushi bar seating, probably omakase in the back which was inconspicuous that I’d like to experience. 🙂
Happiest birthday to you Melissa and until next year!
Haven’t been to a work event in a while. I forget how much work it actually is to be at an event rather than sitting at the desk on my computer.
It was a great turnout. I was assisting with the social media posts for the week and although it was very enjoyable, I realized I enjoy being the creative mastermind behind it. The white-collar stuff and not the blue-collar… 😛
Totally exaggerating, I appreciated the opportunity however, I wish I would’ve worn flats.
My first visit to this hotel was back in 2005. I was taken to The Polo Lounge for lunch one day and from that moment, my life had changed. I loved the feeling of arriving into a grand entrance. Not that I’m a fan of pink, but the hotel is pink with accents that remind me of South of France or some chic European setting.
Every corner of the hotel is exquisite and the service is impeccable. I giggle and tingle every time I get a change to visit.
Only thing I’d add to this establishment is that I’d wish they served my vodka.
January 3rd, Tuesday, I was at the gym bright and early. If you caught my IG story, I was in line to check in! 😛
Four days into the New Year and 2 out 4 days I went to the gym.
My husband told me he’d give me $1,000 if I go to the gym 175 days out of the year.
I get one freebie from 2016, so I have 3 under my belt!
Wish me luck!
