This is probably the best welcome home gift ever!!!
This is my favorite scent in the whole wide world. So much more also because they offer everything I need to get ready for my day. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, candles, matches, diffuser and even linen wash!!!
Granted my scope of experience with this brand has not been all of it, however one day, this will be the only product I use in my home.
If you hear me, please produce hand soaps! Oh and large formats of the linen and hair products! I want a 33oz lump bottle of the Kai Shampoo and Conditioner lol.
I had a gift card for a complimentary facial at Kate Somerville which was going to expire in April. It was two days before the end of March and I called to make an appointment.
I was nervous about arriving because I know how some of these shee shee places get. Rude employees and horrible attitude usually, however I was surprised by their welcoming gesture. I filled out my forms and was escorted to a room for my signature facial.
I will say, I enjoyed every second of the experience. The massage I received was a nice complement.
I only found out about them because of my friend Catalina, and have started falling in love with all their products, one by one.
So I decided to wear the same outfit both nights in Vegas. #DJMK1200 was spinning at Jewel and Omnia so I was good to go. I wouldn’t be seeing anyone twice, except that this girl I met totally stalked me at Omnia on Saturday after I met her on Friday. She asked on Friday what I was doing, I said Mike was spinning at Omnia, she asked if she could come. I thought it was a bit weird since I just met her. I asked, you and who else? She said she was with five friends, I said probably not. WTF.
She ended up showing up anyway and I had to turn her away. There wasn’t space for her!
She probably recognized the shirt…
The shirt was a hit. Metallic buttonup from H&M. I got compliments from a lot of people. So did my heels.
I had a HUGE pimple on my face under my right nostril and Catalina saved my life. The item below is the better version because it’s the bottled version. She had the cotton swab version to give me so I took it. Basically there’s an oinment on there that removes the pimple immediately. Basically, it was too late for me because it was growing since Kansas. By the time I came back to LA, it was already ready to pop. I still applied it and the recovery period of the enormous pimple went quicker. I have a few cotton swabs left for any new pimple that may be brewing. I NEVER get pimples. Once in a while thing. New year new me, I guess.
I love DTLA, I want to move back so bad. 18 Social, a new elevated bar in South Park at the Indigo Hotel. We stopped by for HH and decided to invite Bear. We drank and nibbled on some bites. Love this place, though the music can be updated.
My skin has been super super dry and it’s been very annoying. flakey skin on the face is not cute and I was getting really irritated. My friends who are into skincare have been suggesting products and though those individual products didn’t work, a combination of them did.
The Argan oil and Murad products were gifted by Catalina…
The rest were from a couple of different people… the two spfs were ones I purchased…
So I always put on the Murad Toner, I then put on either of the oils (Argan and PurOrganic) in the evening before going to bed.
For the day, I put on the toner again, eye cream, spf, AtoPalm and either of the oils.
My skin has softened up and the flakiness has minimized.
My skin felt like sandpaper and now it’s much better!
Girl’s road trip to Vegas while JL visited from NY and JR from Macau! We had the time of our lives… arrive Friday afternoon after stopping by In N Out and Krispy KremeP. We stayed at the Cosmo and went out to Omnia that evening. We then went to Drai’s and stayed out until 5am. Woke up around noon to head out after pho of course.
Wow, what a feat. After all these years, I’ve finally finished college with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
As I struggled through the quarters, managing my social, professional and student life, it was apparent that I was almost finishing and it would be too late to quit.
Several, MANY years ago, I realized there wasn’t anything I’ve ever accomplished.
I played the piano for 10 years, played the violin and the flute but didn’t do it enough to stick. I figure skated, but only got to an axle jump. I’ve tried out different jobs, but after two years, I’d quit. I got married and decided to get a divorce…the story goes on.
I knew that I had to graduate college not only for my mom, family, Tyler (especially), but REALLY, for me.
This would be my first accomplishment in life. Hoping that this is a jump start to accomplishing many other things in life.
I always felt insecure about not having a degree, people would ask where I went to school and I would feel dumb for saying I didn’t and trying to justify why. Usually I’d blame my early marriage, but we all know the issue was the fact that I couldn’t get it done.
Now of course, no one asks where I went to school. 😛 But it’s okay, I feel confident, fearless and most of all proud.
Though my mom didn’t really seem that excited for me, all these years she would tell me to finish school and I’d just reply, “I am.” I think the whole online concept was weird for her. She quite didn’t understand the online university and I wasn’t about to explain how now. (Do you know how frustrating it is to show her things on her smartphone?)
Anyway, I am blessed to have been given the time and opportunity to finish my studies.
I was given a bottle of body lotion (thanks Catalina!) I didn’t care to use it until I ran out of all the other lotions I had. (She always graces me with products). I had it in my car and one day I needed lotion…used it and fell in love.
The scent is of a fresh green meadow. And though that may not sound appealing to most of you… and me neither… it’s a scent you can never get sick of and you smell so clean!
It almost reminded me a bit like the scent at the lobby of The Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes in Orlando…
