New Plate Frames #BMWX6

I got my mom a new car and I had to get her plate frames. Although when I showed her the photo, she said it wasn’t her style. That’s why I got black! LOL

Ok, so maybe I got the plate frames for myself, but that’s all I’m going to do. I WAS going to get personalized plates, but maybe I won’t. My mom wouldn’t like that either. 😛

I also wanted to black out the wheels and the emblems, but I’ll just do the emblems and not the wheels. Don’t want to draw too much attention to the car while my mom is driving since she drives, just as aggressive as I do. 🙂

Mommy’s New Car #BMWX6 @IrvineBMW

First, I’d like to say THANK YOU to Yi-Wen & Paul at Irvine BMW for helping us get into a beautiful car. We took a week to think about it after our first visit and we were all glad to have walked away with the BMW X6 M Sport.

Don’t get me wrong, the only SUV I’ll drive is still the Range Rover (and not the sport) but the X6 comes in a close second. I fell in love with the X6 when it first came out and I’ve had my eye on it and finally we have it in our garage. The Range Rover was a bit too much for us to get right now. I will drive the Range Rover again soon. And doesn’t the X6 look like a Polar Bear???

My mom was in dire need of a new vehicle and since I got a nice promotion at the end of the year, I decided that getting her a new car would be my first duty. My worry for her safety was #1. Then of course, I wanted it too.

I’ve known Yi-Wen since 2001-ish. My ex-husband and I got an employee an M3 under my credit (which the employee got his payment deducted out of his paycheck monthly).

Then I got a 645i, in 2005, with an exer who put me through the wringer (finally out of my hair and not affecting my life anymore).

All said and done, I was waiting to get back to Yi-Wen and get another BMW.

We got the 2016 X6 xDrive 35i with premium and sport packages. Alpine white on black Dakota leather, although I could have gotten Coral red or the Cognac. I wouldn’t have minded the Nappy leather too but oh well. The trim is the Polar Wood Trim, definitely not my favorite, actually the worst of it all, but I didn’t really have an option to be picky. AND it isn’t as bad as it used to be.

All this came into place since I’ve put my finances in order. I know exactly how much I have, what goes out, how much to spend, and what’s saving. I’ve never felt so refreshed in my life. 🙂

I’ve also given him a name already, let me introduce you to Troy. 😀

What I do when I’m bored…

I build the cars that I want. I used to pick the best trim and model but I’`ve grown up, I pick the moderate one that I really need. I don’t need the Range Rover SuperCharged Autobiography or the Porsche Panamera Turbo S or the M^ Gran Coupe. 😛

I just need a few necessities and I can add the options on the lower models and trims and have it just the way I want and having it be cheaper than the most expensive with all the bells and whistles. I’m REALLY growing up.

@LAAutoShow #2014

Annual tradition. Started with my dad and now it’s just me. Thanks to Frederick, we got freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tickets. We waited til last minute to go. Sunday at 5:30pm. Literally 1.5 hours before it closed.

Is it just me or it keeps getting worse and worse for the premium automakers?

I noticed that others had more interactive booths and even ride and drives. I guess it makes sense since the common folk isn’t going to purchase the Bentley or the Aston Martin. They definitely catered towards the commoners.

The Porsche exhibit hall had a name change… interesting. 🙂

We were in and out in less than an hour. I just wanted to see my favorite automakers and I was out. It was nice to walk over from the apartment. It stopped raining and we got lucky. We walked over to #YardHouse after and by the time we were done, it was pouring. I didn’t have a jacket or an umbrella. We both got under Bear’s jacket and swiftly walked home. I managed to stay dry. 😛

#HBD @TeamFred!!!

Housewarming/Birthday celebration for Mr. Frederick!

Terry invited me before Fred did and I agreed to join in on the festivities with Bear!

We drank so many bottles of champagne and ate so much!

Thank you Fred for being such a generous host and providing unlimited bottles of magnums of #PerrierJouet and #DomPerignon! #hostesswiththemostess

Oh Hey!

One week she drives to our personal training, the other week I drive. 🙂

I love JO’s car… #BMWLuxury. Yes it is! 🙂

BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe in white with Oyster Leather… HOTTTT!

Why is it that I’m only hearing about this now?

Driving to the market ad Bear tells me. (He’s still my baby. I just hate typing two words for one person.)

So shocked, he tells me to google it and I’m not happy about the design.

I love white cars and said I’ll only have white cars but if I had to get one, I’ll only want it in black. And when it’s dark. I’d prefer to not look at the lines.

I love BMW handling. I loved my six. I love my Prius. My first non European car. My prius handles very well. So, I’d be interested in seeing how it drives. Thanks god it’s only a concept.

Koreans & their #Mercedes & #BMWs

I find it obvious and hilarious to see comments from other Koreans on my Korean friend’s #facebook post.

“Getting rid of my car in May. Need to lease or buy a car. Does anyone want me to buy or take over their lease? Wanting to see what my options are?”

Everyone and their unborn children came screaming BMW & Mercedes.

I of course rooted for my Toyota Prius.

It makes me laugh that I could come to this point in my life where I’m ok driving a great car that doesn’t have a luxury name attached to it but I still see other Koreans who would die without it.

It took a lot (time and others) to get to where I am today. To be happy with not having what everyone else has.

I grew up with Mercedes, BMWs, Range Rovers (not the sport, please) and I had to downgrade.

1. If you own a house and can afford the maintenance and gas for the luxury vehicle, good for you!

2. If you live in an apartment and NEED to drive you C-class or BMW 2/3/4 series, you need to re-evaluate your life.

3. If you don’t care about cars, but feel the need to drive a Mercedes or BMW because, well all your friends drive one, well you need a better self esteem.

When will Koreans learn that their showy behavior will only attract leeches and create a self hating jealous being that will never be happy with what they have because they associate everything with name brands and what people think.

If I can move forward, so can you.

If I can’t have the M6 or the S550, I’m good on the Mercedes & BMW.

You’re welcome!
