Trying to find the perfect lace for the overlay for the top of my wedding dress.
I was overwhelmed by all the options so I looked for a little and came back home.
The streets were empty because it was Labor day, I can’t imagine fighting through people on a regular weekend.

Since I’ve started working for Stone Blue Jeans, I’ve been learning SO much about the apparel industry.
This morning I tagged along with the CEO to the Kingpins Show. I didn’t know what to expect and I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that we were going to go to find matching fabrics.
They had a full service java bar! From lattes to cappuccinos to espressos, name it, they had it, including non caffeinated drinks.
We sat in a seminar where they projected the trend for 2013, interesting to hear and learn what no one knows until the season hits. Although we’re pretty ahead of the game, so some of the information was redundant.
They were giving out this cool notebook made from denim, so I decided to take one since I like to write notes. The cool part about this notebook is that it has a place for you to check off which day it is and the date. Perfect for a journal/diary.
Overall, it was a great experience. I got to feel the different fabrics offered in our industry, see what can be done with it and they flexibility that each fabric can have after wash and process. Raw denim is cool but what it looks like after all the hard work is a masterpiece!
