Sunday Night

I got a bunch of masks from Bear when he went to Korea. He’s been begging me to try this one and finally after a year I did. I did like that it was a 2-piece set. Easier to put on. I do like masks but I feel like my skin feels great for the evening… This however comes with a cream you apply on your face before you put on the gold creepy thing.

After 20 minutes, you discard the mask and apply the rest of the cream. The cream is what’s amazing. I’m not sure if the mask is used to keep the moisture from evaporating… however my skin never felt better. Even throughout the night, into the morning until I took a shower and washed my face. However my skin feels much better days after this mask than any other.

#100thDay #KoreanCulture

Koreans love celebrating the life of a baby. Apparently because back in the day, parents were lucky to have a child live past 100 days. Hence the 100 day celebration and the HUGE 1st birthday celebration. Well, at least that’s what I was told. If I’m wrong, someone please correct me because that’s what I’ve been telling my white side of the family. ๐Ÿ˜›

My eldest cousin had his 3rd son. We celebrated an intimate dinner at the China Gate restaurant. Everyone does their celebration there, unless you’re super fancy and then you do it at Lawry’s or Spago.

I have this theory, the first child always looks like the mom or dad. The second child always looks like the one that the first child doesn’t look like. The third child is a mixture of both, which is always the best looking child. Now think about the people in your life that fit that count…. right?

Anyway… we enjoyed a delicious meal at the birthday. I popped a diet pill because I didn’t want to pig out. Did me right! There was another celebration at the restaurant, a 1st birthday. The parent and toddlers were running around and I noticed this white man with a hapa kid. He was the most adorable kid ever. I can’t wait to see what my child looks like… I don’t know when but I can’t wait!

If you’re single, please go marry someone outside your race, let’s take our existence one step closer to world peace!

Been obsessed with using a mask every other day (maybe every other other day). My gf JL always has a mask on when I facetime her on my way home and I decided I’d take care of my face more too. ๐Ÿ˜›

I ordered it from Amazon and it’s great! I’m not sure if I should keep it in the fridge since I know it’s better to keep makeup refrigerated.

I know this because my mom bought me a makeup fridge when I was in a senior in high school and I used it all the way into my first marriage. I wonder if people still use it? (brb googling it).

I had something like this before but in silver: CAIS KC-120S Cosmetic Fridge 9liter Makeup Mini Refrigerator, 220V

Now you can get something like this: MINI ZZANG MINI-04 Compact Cosmetics Refrigerator Cooler/Warmer Portable Fridge 4Liter Cute [Pink]

I almost want another one, even though I don’t even have enough makeup to fill it in. It’ll just be my masks but those can go in the fridge in the kitchen. ๐Ÿ˜›

Studying #Naturalization

So the funny story is… my dad got his citizenship before I was 18.

He could have simply put my name under the children section and I would have been naturalized automatically without paying the fees and going through the horrendous process of becoming a citizen.

Now I have to do it. $800 out of pocket and so much time wasted on waiting to get my fingerprinting, learning about history and going to the ceremony once I get processed to get naturalized.

I’m sure if someone from the government read my post, they would probably deny my application since I’m complaining about being a U.S. Citizen. ๐Ÿ˜› But then again, who’s looking into my life when they are SO busy with government issues and their job. LOL!

I’m not that mad about it, I’m just mad about the whole process of any type of government type of things. They work slow and charge a shit ton of money for what…?

I look forward to my blue passport and even though I’m already marrying an American, apparently to the U.S. that’s not good enough.

Honestly, I only wanted to do this so I can change my legal name to Violet, FINALLY! YAYYYYYY for that!

Changing My Last Name

i didn’t want to the first time and the luck of marrying a Korean man with the same last name (I know what you’re thinking, we are from different “clans”. I hate that word.) just happened to work out.

When I look back now, I believe it was for a reason. Changing a legal document requires so much. And another Korean last name just wouldn’t go with Violet.

I wanted to change my name with Bear because I know I don’t ever want to be without him.

I feel women get married later and they’ve established their self with their last name and to change it, it’s more of a hassle. Especially if you’re successful. People know your name.

Now God forbid, Bear has a freak accident and passes on. I don’t plan to get remarried but will I keep his last name of I ever do.

I guess it’ll depend on who and when. If I can’t forget Bear, I can’t forget the last name!

But like I said, I won’t know until that happens.

I love my new last name. It’s just a process. I’m getting my citizenship and want to change my legal name first. Then my name will change fully, and it’ll be simpler.

I believe people have the same reaction that I have when I meet an Asian when I don’t expect it. ๐Ÿ˜›

Stars Line Up pt. 2

I went to go see her again. The Korean Astrologist. Due to my bad memory, I couldn’t remember what she shared with me from the last visit but as I listened this time, it was all coming back to me.

This time around I paid an extra $40 and had Bear’s astrology/fortune explained to me.

It’s funny how she is so spot on about things. As I mentioned before, the information she provides is our fate. Our characteristics, behaviors and certain choices. Of course, the journey we take in our lives have everything to do with the road we which to take.

She didn’t remember me from the last visit and she seems to be giving me similar information. I didn’t disclose last time but I will in this post. She warned me about getting into a fatal car accident and I would be in danger of getting into a wreck having to deal with vehicles. She advised me to sell my motorcycle at the time and told me to be very cautious. I did end up selling my bike, for financial and safety reasons.

She also told me that this year will be a bad year for me and that I need to be mindful of the things I choose to do or not do. She told me to drive carefully, especially.

She also mentioned the lack of patience I had, she told me that I rush into decisions too quickly and that I need to take a moment to step back and evaluate before making a decision. She told me my character traits which seems to be spot on.

She told me about Bear’s character trait that was also right on the money.

Remember, I only gave her my name, birthday, time I was born and my phone number. As for Bear, I only gave his birthday and time he was born. For all I know, she assumed he was Korean.

The point of this session was to see if I was on the right track, apparently Bear was destined to marry me and she even went as far as saying that he needed to get married last year (2014) or in 2015. ๐Ÿ™‚

This lady only speaks Korean and even I needed my friend to help translate a lot of things so if you’re not Korean, I suggest you take a translator. If you’ll like her info, email me and I’ll send you her number.

Again, the best $100 I’ve ever spent!

#KoreanTradition #NewJob

So when the child gets a new job, the grown child is supposed to buy red pajamas/undergarments for their mom. It’s suppose to be a ‘๋‚ด๋ณต'(Naebok)ย but my mom won’t wear #longjohns. I don’t even know if she’ll wear this red underwear but I had to get something!

I even had a dream last night that I went toย ๊น€์Šค์ „๊ธฐ Kim’s Home Centerย and they only had red boy shorts. I was frustrated because I know my mom wouldn’t wear the boy shorts. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m going to give this to her tomorrow with $200 cash and the card. I know this will make her smile and I hope to make her happy and provide her with more than she’s ever given me.

Traditional Korean New Year!

Tyler was missing because he was in SJ with his dad’s family. ๐Ÿ™

It was too cute to see the kids bow and get excited about doing this in front of the family. As you can see, everyone’s busy taking photos and not taking the bows. HahahahhaIMG_8724

I didn’t teach Bear but he watched and learned quickly! ๐Ÿ™‚ Mr.ย ๊น€!

I noticed I was getting low on my inventory of my Bear Baby handkerchief so we decided to stop by Chung’s Appliance to pick up more. Of course to my luck, they did not carry it anymore.

When Bear Baby first moved to his place, we came here to get some household items.

I saw this near the checkout aisle and I wanted aย ์†์ˆ˜๊ฑด (handkerchief) so I grabbed the cutest one and it was the one with the baby bear and the mommy bear. It was super fitting because of his nickname Bear. I ended up buying about six. I mean, geez, they’re so cheap, only $.69!

Well, when I went today, this is all they had. I asked two different employees but this was all they had.

I must go back in a month and check again. I got five of the yellow happy memories.
