Smell good always. Thanks Terry for this introduction. I can’t live without this scent.
I use both when I want to smell extra good. Egyptian Goddess is great alone but better with Love. Love alone is very faint, but extremely catering with Egyptian Goddess. You can’t have one without the other. The two blended together creates the softest desirable scent ever!
I knew this week I wanted to bring flowers for my big boss, boss and co-worker. All really good friends. Family business, friends since 1996!
I am thankful everyday for my job and although I’m not rich, I knew I could give back in other ways.
My friend David and his family owns a huge floral company. SHIBATA FLORAL
Address: 744 Wall St, Los Angeles, CA 90014
Hours: Friday 4:00 am – 2:00 pm
They have two locations on Wall St. and one in S.F.
On Wall St., they are located on the west side on the street.
If you frequent the flower district, you must go find DAVID! He has the most gorgeous and freshest selections. Probably the biggest operation there.
I dropped my Bear off at work this am and quickly stopped by the #flowermart in #DTLA.
Entrance Fee $2.
Look on my co-workers’ faces … PRICELESS.
I originally got four bouquets. Three for the office people and one for my mom later when I get home.
But when I got here, I realized that I should’ve gotten one for the new receptionist. I ended up giving her my moms since I could always go back.
The smile and reaction I got from the receptionist was so warm and fulfilling. I admit, I was a bit annoyed this am while I was in traffic taking my fiance to work. But after I passed out the bouquets at work and saw how happy it made them, I felt good. A feeling that can’t be had on purpose.
It feels good to do something to make them smile. It’s the best feeling… doing good.
I want to volunteer, I want to live a purposeful life. I want to give and give and give all I got. That’s what life is about, giving without receiving. We will all be paid back in heaven. 🙂
“A lot of times we think that happiness comes about because you get things for yourself,” said Richard Ryan, a psychologist at the University of Rochester, who was not involved in the study. But “it turns out that in a paradoxical way, giving gets you more, and I think that’s an important message in a culture that’s pretty often getting messages to the opposite effect.”
In order to make sure that the relationship between happiness and doing good wasn’t the other way around—that happiness instead leads people to do good things—the researchers looked at which tended to come first. They found that the subjects became happier after they did something good, suggesting that happiness does, in fact, come about as a result of doing good things.
To most men, the most dreadful day probably because their significant other is expecting something out of this world, better than the last.
To most women it’s the day they expect a sincere romantic experience from their man because, honestly we all know men aren’t romantic unless they have to be.
To me… well it’s a day I feel is a bit overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to celebrate it since I am a romantic but I think looking forward to this day to get something you should be getting already is quite ridiculous.
This is the day I do NOT want flowers, chocolates or anything cheesy. I don’t need a day to be reminded why my bf loves me or why I love him.
Looking back 14 many years of my dating life, I can’t seem to remember one Valentine’s day that left an imprint.
Now that’s pathetic, or shall I say, those boys were pathetic. OR I just have a really bad good memory. 😛
But then again, what girl doesn’t want to be spoiled?
To all the lovers, what is your ideal Valentine’s day?
