Picked up! @BALENCIAGA

If it weren’t for Catalina, I wouldn’t have been able to snatch the motorcycle leather jacket during the #Presale!

Her SA called her and she called me as soon as the store found out about the price drop.

I jumped on it quick. HELLO!!!??? I’ve been eyeing this jacket ever since she let me wear it when I was cold one night at Concerto!

I just booked my commercial and I decided that I would put my whole paycheck from the shoot to the jacket. 😛

Thank the lorrrdddd, everything happens for a reason.

I went, tried on, paid and left. I waited patiently for 12/4 and picked it up right after work with Jo. We had training in #Weho, so it worked out perfectly!

Bear Baby’s cousin opened a gallery/store on Melrose and we came by to congratulate!

I was surprised by the turnout and the work that was on display. There were a lot of people who showed up to support and the work being shown all had their own talent and creativity.

I shot some photos of my favorites…

Bear Baby assumed it wouldn’t be a big turnout. He said to me while I was getting ready, “you don’t have to get all fancy, it’s just going to be a bunch of friends.” Friends or not, I already knew what to expect. Art gallery opening + Melrose Ave. + Saturday night = Probably a random but decent crowd. I RARELY get to go out with Bear Baby because he NEVER wants to do anything so any chance I get to do my hair and dress up in heels, I’m there.

This piece is mind-blowing. Something about the character and the words draw you in from the second you look at it. This is the piece that is above the front door. Art done by John Park, my favorites are his cardboard sculpture/headpiece/helmet thingys!! (You can see on his IG link).

Another beautiful piece… I really want that headpiece/mask.

City lights…

It’s purple!

these sculptures were interesting… not a personal favorite but definitely engaging. I couldn’t stop starring.

These were amusing…

I don’t remember what artwork this was but I thought the title was funny.

The Guise Archives @GuiseArchives

It used to be LeeLeeLu, the first place I got my Benjamin Cindy. But they’ve since changed their name and I’m still in love with this place! They’ve got the hottest pair of shades in town and the cutest little store on Melrose! The Guise Archives.

Summer is here and I could NOT go another day without getting a new pair of shades since my Kieselstein Cords have been giving my problems and I’ve just had them for WAY too long. I got them back in 2005 or 2006 and that’s a long time to have a pair of sunglasses. I think I can’t let go of it because I paid so much for them. Originally they were $600 but since I got it from a store in KTOWN, they gave me a discount. Still, that’s a lot for glasses. Cartiers are about $700.

Either way, I’ve been wanting the Benjamin Aviators, but they haven’t came in yet. So I grabbed a pair of the Molly. I’ve been liking the cat eyes looks so it fit perfectly with what I was looking for. And it had a nose pad which helped me with my lash issue.

The owner was SO helpful and SO awesome! He kept wanting to make sure it sat correctly on my face.

Now that’s customer service.

This is my go to frame shop, if you’re in the neighborhood and or looking for some cool accessories, this is the place to be!

The glasses weren’t that expensive which I’m glad, so I can grab the aviators when they come in…
