On Super Bowl Sunday, Terry and I went to SCP to walk around and eye shop. We walked into stores we couldn’t afford and some we could. 😛
I had never walked into a Coach store unless at the outlet so I was surprised to find myself immersed in the way they have redone their whole aesthetic.
It was simply beautiful. I really love the revamp of the brand and their designs. In the back corner of the store, there was a person working on stitching. Made me think of the time in Paris at the Dior exhibit where you could watch the seamstress actually sewing.
As we walked around, I admired several pieces. Their new handbag collection was to die for! I of course had to take a snap…
Had a belated birthday dinner with the friend and Bear. We waited at the bar of Claim Jumpers while we waited for Din Tai Fung. It’s ridiculous how long people are willing to wait to dine here. I’m on of them.
It was nice to be back at SCP, it gave us a chance to drop into Hermes to take a look at the Jumbo bracelet for Bear’s birthday. Nothing fancy or expensive but he wanted a bracelet and I wanted it to be classy. 🙂
We then walked around but most stores were closing. We may have to make this our ritual. Dinner at DTF when we drop Tyler off on Sundays. 🙂
So I remembered that I had brought Tyler when I first divorced to this Lawry’s at South Coast when they first opened. I was still in OC a lot and would visit the mall to have lunch with friends and family.
I remember when he was barely two. Now in the same seat in the same booth, almost 10 years later!
He cuts his own meat, feeds himself and his feet can barely reach the ground. Barely.
Time sure does fly. It does seem like yesterday when I would lug Tyler around in my Range Rover all over town spending every dollar I had.
We came to South Coast Plaza to look at some wedding bands and get Bear’s finger measured. We went to Cartier, Harry Winston , David Yurman and Saks. Surprisingly David Yurman had some beautiful pieces. I was never a fan since their signature pieces are cables and not my style but walking into the store changed my view about them.
The gentleman at Harry Winston suggested we visit David Yurman since we were looking for the non traditional band. Sharper edge, rose gold, plain and simple.
While we were at Harry Winston, the gentleman pulled out a 12 carat diamond ring that was ridiculous! More ridiculous than Kim Kardashian’s ring! He said if I guessed the price, I could take it home. Of course we didn’t guess it correctly. Tyler asked if it was $2000, so cute his innocence is! It was $3 million and some change…
